I don't recall which package was the necessary one, sorry. One of the font-*-misc ones, but I'm not sure which - it was a while ago, on the RC0 release, not final. > BTW: I even didn't get upto the xinitrc file, because the 'X -config > xxx' command already failed... I don't know why there are fonts used?? Ok, so the X server itself must use that font - I assumed it was one of the programs like twm. Not sure why the X server would be interested in a specific font... Simon.
