I seem to have a problem with gpm listening to my ps2 mouse.
I can correctly use a serial mouse so gpm is working fine. I am using udev of course and can confirm that a kernel is registering the ps2 mouse through a rule.

I have created two kernels and have found that gpm and the ps2 mouse are working fine with one of them. Unfortunately, these two kernels do not have a lot in common and the one I prefer "need" is the one currently not working. The other kernel is of the yes_I_can_boot_but_thats_all_youll_get_out_of_me kind.

So, I am wondering what could possibly be the difference between the kernels where gpm is concerned. Is the ps2 connector possibly connected through an ISA bus? Is it PnP compliant? I'd like to avoid having to recompile and test every possible kernel option :-)

Thanks, Warren
