OMG. What is sad is that I just corrected a similar problem less than
10 hours ago. :-| To make matters worse...I just spent an additional 20
minutes preparing to argue that it had worked...then "NEEDED" hit me
like a ton of bricks! DUH DJ, this is compile time, not runtime...bang
head on keyboard a few more times! To top it off, the reason that the
second test case appeared to work is still unknow....though in light fo
my lack of attention, it was a dummy error. So yeah...I just made a
coplete ass out of myself! :-) Trying to put to rest a 'problem' with
the mesa instructions, I managed to get myself all twisted up in
reproducing a problem and just missed the painfully obvious.
Dave, please ignore absolutely _everything_ that I wrote in my previous
post, and do know that your solution is one correct way to solve the
problem you were seeing. Sorry to add any confusion.
I'm not really sure why the LFS book creates
/opt/lib and friends.
