I am working my way through getting GNOME running on my new CLFS workstation and got to ghostscript. I saw the note about the conflict if you are running CUPS. Thanks you. Since I am intending to run CUPS at some point I followed the link to EPSghostscript. I tried doing a wget of the HTTP line but that failed for some reason. I have had that happen a few times so I just moved on to doing a wget of the FTP line. That said file not found. It turns out you are pointing to the slackware-current tree and asking for espgs-7.07.1. That is not current any more. That version is in the 10.1 tree. Since you have no control over when slackware puts out a new version you would be better off pointing at the version number instead of current. FWIW.
Hi Arnie, BLFS-6.1 is getting pretty long in the tooth. We could put some fixes on the errata page for 6.1, but it might be better to see the page in the current development book. This will become stable very soon (in fact it is very stable, we're just getting LFS-6.2 released now). The development page also addresses your concern about jpeg. http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/pst/espgs.html -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
