My "/etc/inputrc" ist still the same as with LFS. I just compared it with " 
7.8. Creating the /etc/inputrc File" from " Linux From Scratch - Version 
6.2".

No, it does not work when I boot my BLFS installation. Therefore it looks as 
beeing a more generic problem.

Well, I would say "yes". To me it looks like a "only vim" problem.

PS: Is there any chance, that any configuration I did within BLFS " Chapter 3. 
After LFS Configuration Issues" is responsible for the unwanted behaviour of 
vim?
