First, please don't top-post (I'll throw that in before one of the
BLFS editors gets *really* annoyed, but I see so much of it that I
often no longer care - unlikely the 'for addressee only' stuff which
pisses me off mightily, but I'm sure is outside your control ;-)

Second, you seem to have access to the hardware which doesn't work
with your initial setup, so maybe *you* can tell *the_list* what
limitations actually show up ? Don't forget *rewritable* CDROMS
while you are developing CDs. Rather more than half of practical IT
is finding the problems and getting around them.

Most of us only have a very limited array of machines, some people
even seem to manage on one, so looking for experts who know how X
works on a variety of different video drivers when it hasn't been
configured might be over-optimistic. Alternatively, you might do
better asking your original question on the livecd list (I _assume_
that the livecd was built without /proc/config.gz to save space,
otherwise you could have looked at the config). I'm not trying to
be negative, despite how this probably sounds, and I wish you
success.
