Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm not certain if this is the right place to put this, but right now the
SDL site "moved to a new sever and their bandwidth is severely limited"
So...

To "increase" the performance and stability of my LFS computer, I decided to
upgrade to the r300 open-source drivers. To do this I needed the newest
version of dri, drm, (git (unreal eased)) X, and Mesa.
To do this I followed the instructions on
http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/Building

Anyway, I'm having trouble with SDL. A simple SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_VIDEO); will
crash X.

Oh ya, and I also changed allot of the Kernel options (to not compile as
many things, to boot faster)

One final thing: Running any application in Wine does the same (if this
helps you at all)

I'm not certain if this is DRI's fault, X's fault, the Kernel's fault or
some other thing.

I'll post whatever logs you need and give you whatever information you need.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? And more importantly how to fix it? (;

I really appreciate your help!!!!! Thanks in advance!

trintith
