Hi All,
Thanks a lot for your responses. The questions have been answered and the
problem solved.
I experienced that XFree86 does not install keyboard drivers by default.
So, in the host.def one has to enter 'keyboard' into the InputDevice
Section. It does, however, install X into '/usr/X11R6' by default. Earlier,
I had inadvertently removed the comments from the '/usr' line and that is
how it installed into '/usr'. Installing into '/usr' does not look very neat
and also does not behave well. It is better to go with the default that is:
'/usr/X11R6'.
Thanks and regards.
