Hi Tijnema,
Yes, I do. I tried a number of things and got the message that it
failed because it would not be portable I did the make with the -i
switch. The errors I got seemed not to be show stoppers so I installed
it. The main reason for wanting kdebase is to get the tools k3b wanted.
I want to burn a DVD and have had good luck with k3b in the past while
using a distribution. Not so this time. I can't seem to get anything to
run right. At the moment I am trying to use dvd+rw-format and it keeps
telling me:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/secondary/dvd+rw-tools-7.0$ ./dvd+rw-format
- -force /dev/dvd
* BD/DVD±RW/-RAM format utility by <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, version 7.0.
- -* 4.7GB DVD+RW media detected.
* formatting 0.0\:-[ CLOSE SESSION failed with SK=5h/ASC=30h/ACQ=06h]:
Wrong medium type
I got the same error with version 6.1 from the book and downloaded 7.0
but I get the same error. I'm frustrated enough now to blow the whole
thing away and start building a multilib CLFS to build on. Oh well. Back
to the drawing board. I'll be back after I get the multilib CLFS built.
Thanks for all the help I have received from this list. You guys have
been great.
BTW, lest you get the wrong impression, writing DVD's is not the main
source of my frustration only the current one. The lack of 64 bit
support has finally gotten to me. No Flash, no ICA client and a few
other things I don't remember right off hand. TaTa.
