Yes, I've installed mDNSResponder many times, but only to see the interaction of packages that depend on it. I don't start the daemon(s). However, the new Avahi package: http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/1992 see seems quite promising as a total replacement for mDNSResponder and Bonjour. I've had good results so far with it. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.28] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 19:12:00 up 18 days, 17:11, 1 user, load average: 0.03, 0.01, 0.00 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
