Saw that one, didn't apply to my situation as I don't have gnome installed, nor do I want to. > I use Ubuntu as my main desktop now and c-f works fine on that. May be ask the question on > their forum? I have asked, and I've not getten a reply in over a week. Lots of looks, but no replies. :-) Well, so far, I figured out the compile issue (had gconf 1 installed, but not gconf 2), but X bombs out when I launch compiz. And since I have an nvidia chipset in this laptop, I get a black screen after X quits or I switch to another VT from the one that X uses (I seem to recall reading somewhere this is a bug with the nvidia binary driver as this doesn't happen when using nv). Makes it kind of hard to troubleshoot when I can't see anything after a crash. :-) -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
