Hello All,
I have a new HD card ("TV Wonder HD650") and have seen nothing but
"linux doesnt support it" so far in
googlings fortunately for me I still have time to return it, but for
some reason I see this as a challenge.
I have yet to decipher an actual number/name for the chipset and when I
looked at the card there was
ATI all over the chips that seemed to matter which made me nervous.
GATOS seems to have given up the
ghost and left a site with no one in charge. But I remember seeing
"Rage" on at least one of the chips leaving me to think that somehow
their drivers would know how to talk to them. It works great under
Widows but I'm fighting the good fight. When I removed all the kernel
modules for my old TV card and ran udevd again video0 did not appear.
Any ideas?
Thanks folks and keep it up no matter what your DOS buddies might say,
John
