I think anyone doing so will have this problem because (I think) aRts 1.5.10 does not compile with glibc 2.8. See http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225763
I was actually going to ask if anyone had a fix for this, but it seems not. If anyone does have any idea to workaround or fix this please let us know.
