Like Ken said, that doesn't really make sense. Glibc is perhaps the most fundamental piece of the toolchain built in the LFS book, and a lot of work goes into making sure every subsequent package is linked against it correctly. You do *not* want to try replacing that library at a later stage such as BLFS... Far more sensible to simply substitute it in LFS instead, as they do in CLFS. As you've noted, they're similar enough to make that a fairly minor change when you know what you're doing... Simon.
