Hi Bruce,

Sorry, I have a direct connection through a cable modem.

Thanks, I modified the ipv4 file in
/etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0, and now everything is great!
:-)

However, there is the problem that presumably I will need to manually
change the IP address in that file every time my ISP decides to assign me
a different number.

Is there anything I can do to make sure that the file stays up to date,
automagically? Or will that happen now that I have the gateway, prefix,
and broadcast all correct? (Sorry for the newbish questions, networking is
an area I tend to find a bit befuddling.)

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Tim
