Greetings

If anyone has managed to get system-config-printer and pycyps to work on a
blfs/cblfs machine please let me know.

I have tried the following
pycups-1.9.48/1.9.51
system-config-printer-1.2.1/1.2.4
the all compile problem free but runnign them is another story:-
--------------------------------------
linteg [ ~ ]$ system-config-printer
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/system-config-printer/system-config-printer.py", line 74,
in <module>
    import cups
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/cups.so: undefined symbol:
libiconv
linteg [ ~ ]$
-------------------------------------------------
I am using kde-4.4.5 and the problems do no t seem to be gui dependent,
( I have the same result on the CLI before startkde).

Thise are redhat utilities and the programs' author
(a redhat employee)'s website
has 'help' couched in language that seem designed to ubfuscate.

For example there are no compile switches to set -liconv
-which seems to be the required fix

suggestion welcome

sincerely
