1. Please trim what you are replying to . Quite apart from the unnecessary multiple blanks lines [in a terminal, they waste space and mean less text is visible] you seem to have a mixture of top and bottom posting. I nearly missed the test you had added. Some of this might be down to your mail client, because 2. The attachment that arrived here was only the text of your mail, multipart with plain text and html (yeugh!). Care to try attaching the log again, and sending the mail itself as plain text ? 3. BLFS-6.3 is not only very old, it dates from a time when the book was only concerned with 32-bit x86. Some things in it do not build on x86_64. I don't think that is true for xorg, but once you have sorted this problem you really ought to change to the development book (and consider upgrading your xorg installation). I'm not saying that everything in the development book is better. Large parts of it are still stuck in the past, but some of us are trying to move it forward. As it says in the "Read Online" page Note: a new stable version has been delayed. Until a new stable version of BLFS is released, you should use the current development book if you're using LFS 6.4 or later ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
