Hello,
I have an Asus Motherboard, P7P55D Pro.
I don't have a surround sound system for it, via analog, so I've been
using
only the front jack, which works.
I wanted to get full sound, so, I tried to use the S/P DIF, but, I
don't get
any sound out of it.
My aplay -L shows (for the digital section):
iec958:CARD=Intel,DEV=0
HDA Intel, VT1828S Digital
IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output
So, it looks like it is recognized. I do an alsaconf, but, I still get
nothing.
Under alsamixer, the "S/PDIF Default" is unmuted, but, the "S/PDIF" is muted.
I googled this problem, but, none of the solutions worked to get sound
out of the
S/PDIF. I was hoping someone would be able to provide a solution. Please let
me know if
