Should pkg-config be listed as a dependency for makedepend? Upon
compiling makedepend I receive the following:
"The PKG-config script could not be found or is too old. Make sure
it is in your path or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the
full path to pkg-config.
Alternately, you may set the environment variables X_CFLAGS and
X_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config."
I last compiled BLFS on LFS-6.8 without incident. However, pkg-config
has been removed from LFS-7.0. If I compile pkg-config prior,
makedepend compiles without error. ?
