I wouldn't know how to debug a problem with a closed source program. However, I recently had a problem with another program crashing when I closed it that turned out to be due to a change made in glib-2.30.2. It seems that glib-2.30.2 expects pointers to be aligned on 8-byte boundaries (or something, waves hands as if he knows what he's talking about ;). What version of glib are you using?
