I haven't looked to see if the long double issue persists, but after bypassing gnumeric I had more issues in abiword, including an attempt to link to a long-deprecated function in pcre which was removed in 2.30! Some of the abiword problem was the now-usual "let's break some more packages" glib changes, but the pcre issue was triggered by glibc-2.15 which broke an old workaround intended for ancient versions of pcre. Found a patch at gentoo, got abiword sorted, then I asked myself "do I feel lucky ?" Turns out the goffice patch (plus my earlier sed, which may or may not be importeant - all I know is it builds *with* it) enable gnumeric to build. So, most of the problem was actually from the newer glibc in LFS-svn! I'll be updating the book. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
