Just an update. I've built a new system starting with the current LFS
SVN. I then built alsa and Xorg followed by firefox-21. On that
system, the webm/html4 works without problem using twm as a window
manager :) YouTube video and sound are fine. No flash/gnash needed --
at least for the videos I checked.
A couple of notes.
1. The latest gcc seems to generate a lot more warnings on a lot of
packages.
2. Building firefox with xorg in /opt/xorg works fine, but there are a
couple of extra commands needed:
export C_INCLUDE_PATH=/opt/xorg/include
export CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH=/opt/xorg/include
Also /opt/xorg/lib needs to be added to /etc/ld.so.conf, but that's
already mentioned in the xorg intro section.
