 Sounds as if you did not build it against xulrunner (so you did a
full build), i.e. your .mozconfig isn't doing what you intended.

 If that is the case, follow the instructions for installing firefox
without xulrunner (you have to build the installer in that
case).  I'm assuming you do indeed have the firefox-build-dir - if
not, that means a definite difference in your .mozconfig.
