Anybody managed to get a Samsung (Galaxy S3) smartphone to work under Gnome 3.14 ? .. and if you did, what packages you install (and how) to make that happen ?
I tried installing libmtp before gfvs but it doesnt recognize my phone when I connect it. in dmesg I get: [ 2457.043062] usb 2-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 10 using ehci-pci [ 2457.129405] usb 2-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=04e8, idProduct=6860 [ 2457.129410] usb 2-1.3: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=4 [ 2457.129413] usb 2-1.3: Product: SAMSUNG_Android [ 2457.129415] usb 2-1.3: Manufacturer: SAMSUNG [ 2457.129418] usb 2-1.3: SerialNumber: 4df1cfb9601a6f2f So I assume the kernel can support it .. Thanks.
