We've been struggling with Totem for the last couple of weeks. It works, kind
of. The interface appears to be designed for touch, not a desktop. It also
appears to assume some things like a Gnome desktop. The help file shows a user
interface that is no longer available.
We have at least three other programs that essentially do the same thing, vlc,
mplayer, and parole.
Dropping Totem will also allow us to drop some dependencies simplifying the
book.
My vote is yes, but we need feedback from others who may argue for keeping it.
