I'm confused (again) about desktop themes now. I made the XFCE desktop. The icon for the Run command is "broken", just a red "x". It wants gtk- execute. I had installed the Tango icons. Nothing has installed gtk- execute[.png]. I found traces that an older system had it from Clearlooks. I hadn't installed gtk-engines, so I tried installing that. I thought they would come with or generate the theme icons. I still don't have it.
1) I suppose maybe there's a better/different icon set that I should have instead/besides Tango? Any better recommendations? I haven't noticed anything specific in the book. 2) Are the gtk-engines some part of the solution to this problem? What are these engines for? Is one supposed to use them somehow to get all the icons? (I know I could go get that icon a put it in pixmaps or somewhere, but I think it should have come from something I should have done installing BLFS.)
