Cheers : after I rebuilt it again, I watched a series of videos, scrolled along, scrolled back, paused, maximised, restored to small without any problems. But then I tried to open a second video in a new tab, and to change to that tab to pause it - crashed. Gave up for the night. The box has been up since then, but I can no longer play any videos (the old "crashes if I move the mouse"). This is somewhat reminiscent of a week ago. The reasons for using system libs are to minimise what is installed and to cover vulnerabilities - on the assumption upstreams will fix them before user such as firefox fix them. ĸen -- I had to walk fifteen miles to school, barefoot in the snow.
