Usually when I'm testing an update it is simple to play with the variables until it builds. In this ase, I now wished I had started a git branch for the changes to my firefox script - and committed a few versions so that I would now be able to look back at the history. You were right - with the seds which are currently in the book. For some reason I commented those out. The patches are technically correct (accepted upstream, will probably be in 48 but maybe 49) but the seds are a workaround which does seem to still do the job. I still need the patch for gtk-3.20 (I build with gtk3 because upstream have made it the default). ĸen -- I had to walk fifteen miles to school, barefoot in the snow.
