Hi All,
I apologize for not following up after my last post. You guys bailed me out again and I was able to continue building my 7.8 system. The main purpose for building this system in the first place was to do sound and video editing so I built kdenlive. All went well and I started playing with kdenlive to learn how to use it. At one point the application stopped functioning normally and froze. As I remember I had to kill the process to get rid of it. When I tried to restart the application it gave me the following error.

Invalid playlist
Removing cache at "/home/astender/.cache/kdenlive-thumbs.kcache"
Invalid playlist
QCursor: Cannot create bitmap cursor; invalid bitmap(s)
Segmentation fault

I ended up removing the entire application including the source directory and re-building from the book. When I started the clean build I got the same errors.

Google seems to say it is a problem with QT but when I follow the links I can only see the questions, no answers. I don't want to completely re-build QT since I don't even know whether it used 4 or 5 (but of course I will if I have to).

Any instruction would be greatly appreciated.

Arnie
