Hi

I want - I need - a method for finding all the dependencies of a package,
preferably in one of the orders they should be installed.

And so, to the point: is any such tool around? Or do I have to fire up php yet
again?
Hi !

I do not have a script, but I have a method :

1. Clear the history in your browser.

2. From the packages list in BLFS, pick the package you want to install.

3. If a link in the list of dependencies of the package is marked unvisited, click on it.

4. If all required and desired optional dependencies of the package are visited, install the package.

5. Click the back button in your browser; resume with step 3. until you have finished with the initial package.

Note : although this method fails with circular dependencies, I find it very useful. If you take care of clearing the history only once before starting building BLFS, then every visited link corresponds to an installed packege. Of course this information is highly volatile and does not stand for a serious package management.

Hope that helps.
Best regards.
