x86 : mostly tested with x86_64, i686 should also work (but gets
much less testing, and things like i586, i486, i386 might not work).

The downloads should still work - they are *source*.  Whether you
can use the same instructions to build them depends on how different
your architecture is.

In LFS terms, the nitty-gritty of booting the new system is probably
the area which will be most different.  For BLFS, AV libraries might
be fun on different architectures, and I guess that the xorg video
drivers might be different - if you are on a common non-x86 platform,
cross-lfs might be more appropriate.  People *have* adapted the LFS
instructions for e.g. ppc and the pi, but if it breaks you get to
keep both pieces.
