I tried to install lightdm-1.24.0 from BLFS 8.2.
It doesn't work.
Both "/etc/rc.d/init.d/lightdm start" and "init 5" don't start the greeter and
procuce this warning:
"WARNING: Failed to get list of logind seats:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
org.freedesktop.login1 was not provided by any .service files"

What could be wrong?
I suppose logind is only relevant for systemd, and I have a System V system
(shoud be normal for BLFS 8.2 ?).
So what about logind ?
I do not know where to start searching.

After Xorg, I installed folowing packages and tried to configure them as in the
book:

dbus-1.12.4
PCRE-8.41
GLib-2.54.3
at-spi2-core-2.26.2
gobject-introspection-1.54.1
ATK-2.26.1
at-spi2-atk-2.26.1
libjpeg-turbo-1.5.3
shared-mime-info-1.9
LibTIFF-4.0.9
gdk-pixbuf-2.36.11
HarfBuzz-1.7.5
Fontconfig-2.12.6 (reinstall)
Cairo-1.14.12
Pango-1.40.14
six-1.11.0
libxkbcommon-0.8.0
GTK+-3.22.28
libgpg-error-1.27
libgcrypt-1.8.2
Linux-PAM-1.3.0
Shadow-4.5 (reinstall)
ISO Codes-3.77
libxklavier-5.4
Vala-0.38.8
lightdm-1.24.0

Maybe I configured something wrong or forgot someting, but where do I start
looking?
