This tells glib-networking to handle certificate verification via the anchors instead of the legacy certificate store.

The error thats in the log

gnome-shell[2334]: couldn't load TLS file database: Couldn't load list of slots in PKCS#11 module: The module has not been initialized

if gio.sh is removed the error isn't there

This only seems to be in Gnome, the kde build has the gio.sh but no error in log, so something in Gnome is causing the problem, maybe Gnome keyring?
