Hello,I've got well it's now a blfs system v8.4, use to be just lfs then I added packages with blfs so that's what it is now. One thing I wanted to do is both get sound going as well as getm some other stuff started. I got sound, it did work I could rrun from the console aplay filename or mpg123 filename and I would get output. The problem started when I went to my other program, it required pulseaudio as a dependency, so I installed it's dependencies and it and now I don't have sound. This is what I get when running both aplay now and mpg123 now, before they both worked: #aplay 03.mp3 Playing raw data '03.mp3 Mono underrun!!! (at least 1331.430 ms long) underrun!!! Any ideas appreciated. Thanks. Dave.
You probably need to recompile mpg123 with pulse support. On most audio hardware, only one application can open the sound card directly - and in your case it's pulseaudio daemon.
