Hello All, I wanted to ask a possibly silly question. (Since there is an entire section of the BLFS book dedicated to this.) I have read on the internet that gnome requires systemd. I have a sysvinit machine and wanted to make sure I could run the desktop before spending the time building it. So is it possible to run gnome from a sysvinit machine?
