Hi,
According to Phoronix,
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=XOrg-NouveauDrop-GLAMOR
it looks like the nouveau driver dropped glamor support back in 2015 so
there is no point in creating the nvidia.conf file in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ like it is recommended in the XOrg driver section
"man nouveau" also does not show the possibility of using glamor as an
"AccellMethod".
I'm in no way an expert in this but I thought it would be a good idea to
highlight it in the mailing list.
Thanks for the post. Looking at the changelog, I see:
man: remove reference to glamor under DRI option
GLAMOR backend was removed a while ago, but the help text stayed on.
I'll remove the section on GLAMOR acceleration.
