John Justice writes: Sometimes, if you have both the HP software and Open Book on your system, Open Book will not allow the HP software to function. You get some kind of error message.
John, The same thing happens with Kurzweil. I've had the block go both ways; sometimes Kurzweil blocks out the HP scanning software and at other times the HP scanning software blocks out Kurzweil. The error message does identify the offending file but I can't recall the name of that file neither; it is either an exe or dll file that seems to cause the problem so I suspect it's a condition where this file can only be in play for a specific application. But I do know that the offending file is one of the HP software components. ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] God made man before woman so as to give him time to think of an answer for her first question.
