David, open a pdf file and after it has finished processing click alt f and arrow down to print, click on print. You should get a combo box. Arrow down to freedom import printer and click on it. This opens openbook and the data from the file is scanned in to openbook.
Have fun. Now please refresh my memory where this is supposed to be in the menus, or is this something I need to install through control panel first? In that folder you want to run pnsetup.exe. I have openbook 7.02. I don't know which version this began with but if you have the latest version it is included. Look under printers and faxs in the control section. HTH, George R.
