hmm could it be in safe mode perhaps? or possibly could it be doing a scan disk? Those are my 2 thoughts or maybe could your soundcard be muted perhaps? I know how it is not to have any sounds or speech and it sucks and quite frankly with out speech I know that I persenley would be Scrued!!!
