If your mouse attaches via USB, you can just get an extension cable which 
would allow you to make it get to wherever.

Alternatively, since you don't as such use the mouse normally, you could 
always just leave it unplugged, or let it sit on top of the computer 
normally or something since Windows will operate anyway without the thing 
connected normally.
