Hi Margaret,

A friend of mine has a little plastic holster that holds the mouse in one
place.

She applied two sided tape to the back side of it, then attached it to the
side wall of the desk. Now it sits in that holster, and out of the way.

The only downside is that she forgets that the thing is there, so when she
moves the computer, after she unplugs everything, she forgets to take it
with her, and she wonders why the computer won't start up.

I always ask her first if she took all the peripherals with her, and if they
are connected.

Invariably, she says, oops, I forgot the mouse.

Anyway, you can see if Radio Shack carries these holsters, or even a dollar
store in your neighbourhood. Worst case scenario, you can probably adapt
something out of a Tupperware container, and use that. Just make sure you
place a notch in the lid to allow for the wire to pass through, otherwise
the container won't shut properly, and you run the risk of the mouse falling
out. Once you've found an adequate container for your mouse, get some
double sided tape, and attach it to the underside of the Tupperware
container and then attach it to the side of your desk. My friend has it
attached to the hutch portion of her desk, just on the inside of it.

Maybe you might want to give this a thought.
