Hello, I have been told by a site administrator that I need to delete all my cookies to access the current version of his portal, from which I want to download weekly MP3 files. He says old cookies are blocking my access from his updated portal, and that if I delete all my cookies, everything will be hunky dory and I will reach the page I'm supposed to reach. As things are now, I get stuck partway in, and never reach the page from which I can download the file.
I hesitate to delete all my cookies though, since I have heard they perform useful functions, like tracking my login passwords and Amazon preferences. I'm afraid that if I delete them, I will be sacrificing valuable functionality and the site still won't work. Can some of you experienced power-users advise me if I'm hanging onto my cookies too tightly? Are they less valuable than I think, and do people make it a regular practice to delete them periodically just to clear things out?
