Hi Jeffery John R. here
You can just delete all them but you would need to get all your user names
and passwords again I think the easier way to do it is arrow through the
cookies one by one and remember the website address that you need to get the
file from and as your going through the cookies one by one look for the one
that says the name of the website if you can find it just hit the delete key
and conferm yes and then keep arrowing down and then you will come to the
end of the list but if you don't find any more then you can close the
cookies list and then retry the website.
To get to the cookies location.
C:\documents & settings\user\cookies
if you notice I put user, this is your account. also if you don't see it
then do the following.
with any system folder open, e.g. in the user name folder, go to.
1. Tools menu, Alt+t.
2. arrow to the bottom to Options, also pressing O will jump you straight
there.
3. press enter.
4. a window will open..
5. use, Shift+tab. this will take you on to the page tabs
6. arrow across to the tab that says, View Tab
7. now press tab and this will take you in to the view of the view tab. also
doing CTRL tab when in options will skip the arrow to the tabs and move you
from the general tab window your in and moves you to each window this is
where you also need to make sure you hear that your on the View tab window.
you'll know this by the option you land on it will say, Apply to all
folders.
8. tab 2 times and you will be in a list
arrow down until you hear, Hidden files and folders, two items then arrow
down again it will then say,
Do not show hidden files off, if it is checked then you need to arrow down
again and it then will say,
Show hidden files on, press spacebar on this and it will check it.
9. now Tab two times and you will come to an OK button and press enter on it
and then exit the location where you were, inside your user name folder, and
then go back in to it again and you should find that cookies is now there
and you press enter on it to go in to it
I hope this helpt

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Deleting cookies

Hello,

I have been told by a site administrator that I need to delete all my
cookies to access the current version of his portal, from which I want to
download weekly MP3 files. He says old cookies are blocking my access from
his updated portal, and that if I delete all my cookies, everything will be
hunky dory and I will reach the page I'm supposed to reach. As things are
now, I get stuck partway in, and never reach the page from which I can
download the file.

I hesitate to delete all my cookies though, since I have heard they perform
useful functions, like tracking my login passwords and Amazon preferences.
I'm afraid that if I delete them, I will be sacrificing valuable
functionality and the site still won't work.

Can some of you experienced power-users advise me if I'm hanging onto my
cookies too tightly? Are they less valuable than I think, and do people make
it a regular practice to delete them periodically just to clear things out?

Thanks,
Jeffrey
