Hi All,
I was reading e-mail last night when I lost power and speech. I thought
the UPS was doing its beeping thing to let me know about the power outage.
There was no speech when the power came back on and I booted up and JAWS
said low battery alert and something to the effect of shut down immediately
which I did.
There was no low battery alert from JAWS when I booted up this morning.
Could last night's low battery alert have been because of the power failure
or possible have been the battery in the UPS although I wouldn't think JAWS
could alert me to that one.
Is there any way of determining the computer's battery level? I think
there are several types of computer batteries, but I don't which kind I have
or how to find out.
The computer was custom built and I got it in April of 2005. It's an XP
Home with SP2 and I'm running JFW 7.1 and 8 is installed on the machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Margaret
