I don't think there's any software with the UPS that goes with the XP, 
but my tech installed it and I wouldn't want to swear to it.  I don't know 
what brand it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not an APC or whatever the name 
of the company that bought /merged with them is.  Could it begin with a "T?" 
Sighted assistance isn't available.

    I think I remember seeing a critical battery alarm sound event on my 
'98.  Does XP Home have one?  Is this something my tech can check out 
remotely tomorrow?  He has things set up so he can check things out 
remotely.
