The ds30/40/50's are voice recorders, not PDA's, so you would be able to store voice recordings of phone numbers and other souch info in it, however, if you stored any other type of file (e.g. text files) it would store them but not read them. For just making short notes like storing phone numbers, I would not reccommend this recorder as you would be paying for something that you would not use to its full potential if you just stored phone numbers and things like that on it.
