Dear Mitch The Zen Stone is accessible as it has no screen which is a great equaliser. . It is a good solid MP3 player and all you need to do is plug it into your PC where it will appear as a drive in My computer. Simply copy across MP3 or wma files and these will be played in the Zen Stone. A nice feature is that position hold is rock solid. Even after connecting to a PC the Zen will resume playing where it was paused. Not true of all players at all.
You do not have to create folders to play your MP3 or wma files but if you want to you create folders and rename them as in any other part of explorer. Specifically Windows key +E to open Explorer Press Tab once to go into folder view. Press Z to go to Zen Stone Press enter To create a folder press alt then F then W and then F again. Type in the name of the folder and press enter. To rename any folder press F2 whilst that folder is highlighted and type in the new name. Hope this is what you wanted. I just downloaded and listened to the bct podcast about the zenstone mp3 player. In the podcast the person doing the podcast talked a bit about how to name your folders be for putting them in to the zenstone mp3 player. What I would like to know is how would you do this? The way it was dun in the podcast was he had a recording of him self saying what folder it was. He didn't go in to how to accomplish this task though. How to ricord your voice I mean and have it play at the beginning of a folder or to have it be the name of the folder. Many Thanks for any help that any one can give me on this topic. I do not have one of these players but I have put it on my Christmas list and so that is why I am asking. from Mich Verrier from New Liskeard Ontario Canada.
