HI Marilyn. yes, if you are using IE 6, go to internet options from the tools menu. This will place you in the correct tab, so just tab to where it says temporary internet files delete files, or it may only say delete files. When you press space on this button, you'll be taken to the dialog box. You will need to make sure you check the box that says delete all offline content. This will not affect any of your favorites or anything you downloaded yourself. Aftr that, just wait a few minutes for the delete files button to be spoken again by JAWS, then you can tab to the ok button and press enter.
If you're using IE 7, you'll find the delete files option on the tools menu under delete browser history. Just go to the delete files option and press enter. This time you might not get that check box I mentioned, though I'm not sure about that. just activate the appropriate button in the dialog box and you'll be all set. hoep this helps. Tony, I discovered almost 4000 temporary internet files on my computer even tho I had said not to have more than 1024. How do I clean them out? Is it in internet options--one of the headings you get to by alt tabbing? marilyn Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/BlindComputing.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/BlindComputing.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
