Sorry about your experience. ProcInfo has never warned me about viruses
except in relation to multiple occurrences of SVCHost in which seemed a fair
enough warning. I leave that to my Virus checker though and do not delete
these files. . I may be using an older version v0.04 which may be more
straightforward?

ProcInfo has stopped me deleting important files in the past. For example I
had no idea that CCApp was the main Norton Anti Virus application at start
up in the days I had Norton.

Its true that you get invited to purchase software to remove items but of
course you can use free utilities like Start UP Manager to do this instead.

David Griffith

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Prog Info Worries

The one thing I find about this program is that it labelled many of the
items I had in the start up tab as viruses, even though I knew for a fact
that they weren't.

After that, how can I trust the program again knowing that it gave me so
many false positives, with even a description to try to convince me that it
was right? Grin.

The worst part is, that if you want to remove said item, according to the
Prog Info software, you should purchase the remover from the Prog Info site.

Now, this may have been my bad luck, and possibly I misunderstood what it
was telling me about the aforementioned viruses, but I've been around
computers long enough to know when I'm being ham strung to buy something I
don't need.
