mp3cdDoctor does the job nicely for burning cds. The mp3s have to be in high quality though.

Even in file conversion my experience is that you have to resort to using the Jaws cursor to navigate through file structures and change directories. I think it would be simpler for you to use another tool for the taks you have in mind. There are instructions on the Tips and tricks page as to how to use Windows Media Player for this task and I think it is worth reviewing the Programs pages also for a program specifically for this task. I personally use Nero but I am aware that this is not a free solution. However I am sure that there are free solutions on the programs page.
